Mediation involves the parties appointing a neutral person (the Mediator) to help them to find a solution to the dispute. This can be an effective way to obtain a speedy and economic resolution rather than proceeding through the Courts and to trial, however Mediation can still be an option where proceedings have been issued.
Further benefits of Mediation are that it is confidential and any settlement is achieved by negotiation rather than by the Court imposing a resolution.
